"I saved almost $300 by using Geis."
I just wanted to say 'thank you' to both Mercy and Chris O'Boyle for their help yesterday. In short, I had another door company at my home to work on a replacement for my garage door opener. The installer went on to not only discuss my garage door opener replacement, but to tell me I had $554 of needed repairs on my garage door (springs, rollers, etc). Feeling hesitant, I told the installer to only complete the install of the opener and I immediately called Geis. Luckily, my call to Geis was answered by Mercy. She was unbelievably kind, forthcoming and went above and beyond to get someone to my home immediately (Chris O'Boyle). (In fact, he got there so quickly that the current installer was still finishing the door opener install causing Chris to wait. Chris was very gracious about waiting, by the way!) Chris was direct and honest. I'm a single home owner... and I was already very upset by the situation AND the costs. He alleviated that by clearly and specifically telling me what needed fixing and what didn't need fixing. I saved almost $300 by using Geis (the springs were $100 less than the other company plus Chris also felt the other items I was told were in need of replacement by the other company were in fine working order)! Unfortunately, I paid significantly more for my opener by using the other company instead of Geis and the features (i.e. keypad) were ala carte (in constrast to Geis). And a lot of these costs (i.e. $100 install fee) were not communicated to me 'upfront". I learned a big lesson, however... to trust a known company's reputation. My neighbor told me she has used you for many years... yet I failed to trust her word. If another of my neighbors, friends or family members need a new garage door opener, door repair, etc. I will be absolutely certain to advocate use of your company because of your immediate service, professionalism, and fair business practices.....

I wanted to take the time today and thank you and Geis Building Products for the wonderful experience that I received with my new garage door and opener purchase. I had planned on stopping at several local garage door dealers to see what everyone had to offer. Geis was my first stop (probably because of the radio commercial’s). You were very helpful when I went shopping for a new garage door. You took the time and answered all of my questions and informed me of several options that were available to me. I had a very good sales experience. I didn’t “think twice” about my purchase.
But it doesn’t stop there…
You sent Tim out to my house within an hour of my (verbal) purchase to inspect my current installation. He took his measurements and answered all of my questions.
But, there’s even more…
Today’s installation was probably the best in-home service visit that I ever experienced. Kurt was excellent. Not only did he arrive on time, but early. He was very well organized and was prepared for the task at hand. He was very knowledgeable and I could see that he takes pride in his work. I was also amazed in how fast and efficiently he finished the job.
Kudos to you, Tim, Kurt, and Geis Building Products. I will recommend Geis Building Products to everyone I know.

"Can’t believe what a difference they have made..."
WOW! What a difference the Velux 14 inch Sun Tunnels have made in our kitchen and bathroom. Both rooms are located on the north side of our house. The bath room had no window and the kitchen was always dark because of a porch and required that we have lights on even on a bright day. Lights are no longer necessary even on a cloudy day. My wife and I can’t believe what a difference they have made and are ecstatic with the result.

"I was very impressed by the service call.."
Just wanted to let you know that I was very impressed by the service call that Chris Oboyle performed for me on Feb 18. I called that morning as my garage door spring broke and I couldn't get my car out of the garage to go to work. He responded very quickly and was very professional and polite. He replaced the springs that were broken and checked both my doors and openers very efficiently. I was to work by noon - this after the company who installed the garage doors had told me they couldn't come and fix it till sometime the next day. Chris was very personable, appeared to enjoy his work and is a good ambassador for your company.

"I wish this type of experience was more common nowadays..."
Just want to comment on the service I have received from GEIS. I have had your company out twice over the last couple years to work on my garage door, etc. Both times the service was excellent. The technicians were efficient, knowledgeable, and extremely customer focused. I wish this type of experience was more common nowadays. Unfortunately it is not, so I wanted to acknowledge the culture you must be promoting and say thank you. I do not recall who the prior technician was but most recently Craig Baker came out and addressed our current issues.
